Adam Clark is my great grandfather, My grandfather was James Lawrence Clark, My father was Edward Joseph Clark, I'm Esther Margaret A. Clark McDermott. Most of the information came from his civil war pension records..
Adam Clark was born 9 September 1833 Jackson Center, Mercer Co., Pa. He was the son of John A. Clark (b 1809 Pa.) and Elisabeth Ann Correll / Korrell (b 1811 Pa.). He had The following brother's and sister's. Mary Polly Clark b 1836, William Clark b 1837, Margaret Clark b 1840 m Jesse Wireman, Thomas Clark b 1843, Alexander Clark b 1846, Alfred Clark b 1847, Andrew J. Clark b 1851 . Adam might have used his middle name, I found his 2nd marriage record saying J. A. Clark. He married 2) Mary Ann Bowman Hoagland, 3) Sarah Burch. Adam Clark died 31 May 1907 Burghill, Trumbull Co., Oh. He is buried in Center Cemt, Brookfield, Trumbull Co., Ohio. In 1853 Adam worked for a Ephriam Hunter. He married December 14, 1854, Mercer Co., Pa. Elizabeth Jane Hunter the daughter of Ephriam Hunter and Mary Ann Roberts of Plain Grove, Mercer Co., Pa. He then worked on Ephriam farmer for seven years in Plain Grove, Mercer Co., Pa. From March 1861 to my enlistment I worked for James Lawrence in Plain Grove, Lawrence Co., Pa. This is about 10 to 12 miles from my former residence. Adam was 5 ft 10 ½ in. tall, with a dark complexion and brown eyes. He worked as a farmer and laborer. He enlisted 30 Aug 1864 at Plain Grove, Lawrence Co., Pa. Into Cc. I 6 Reg. 212 Heavy Artillery. He was discharged 13 Aug 1865 at Fort Ethan Allen. Jan, Feb, Mar of 1865 he was stationed at Chain Bridge near the Washington D. c. and Maryland border, doing guard duty. Aug. Thur Oct. he was in Alexandria Virginia, under the command of Capt. H. W. McCandless. Some of his fellow soldiers were John Luther of New Castle, James Brest, Miles Patton ( Maybe the brother of Joseph Patton, who descendant married into the Clark and Schell / Shell family), Asher E Lawrence of Liberty, Mercer Co., Pa. (The son of James Lawrence), David Gilliland , James Lawrence, Corp James McMilliam ( I remember this name as a child in our family, but can't connect it yet.) After Adam discharged he worked for James Lawrence, then he moved to Trumbull Co., Ohio and worked for Coalbank in Coalburg, Ohio. In March 1867 he moved to Coalburg, Ohio and worked for Frank Albright, Low Sinclair, Charles Hulbost until April 1882. From April 1882 to 1907 lived in Hartford, Trumbull Co., Ohio. His brother in law's were Walker Hunter ( Ira Walker Hunter ), James Hunter, Newton Hunter ( William Newton Hunter, Newton moved to Oil City, Venago Co., Pa and is in the oil business).
Adam and Elizabeth Clark had the following children:

2. Ira Walker Clark, b. November 08, 1858, Pine Grove Twp., Mercer Co., Pennsylvania; d. Bef. 1947, Trumbull Co., Ohio; m. Jemina Nortman, January 01, 1880, Hubbard, Trumbull Co., Ohio.
3. Mary Elizabeth Clark, b. December 17, 1861, Pine Grove Twp., Mercer Co., Pennsylvania; d. February 17, 1862, Mercer Co., Pennsylvania.
4. Elmer (twin) Ellsworth Clark, b. March 24, 1863, Lawrence Co., Pennsylvania; d. August 1907, Sharpsville, Mercer Co., Pennsylvania; m. Louise Sleazley, October 15, 1887, Mercer Co., Pennsylvania
5.James (twin) Lawrence Clark, b. March 24, 1863, Plain Grove, Lawrence Co., Pennsylvania; d. April 16, 1916, Sharon, Mercer Co., Pennsylvania; m. (1) Elizabeth Eileen Patton, 1884, Mercer, Pennsylvania; m. (2) Clara Mae Schell / Shell, December 12, 1891, Mercer Co., Pennsylvania.
6. Etta / Ethe May Clark, b. April 17, 1866, Lawrence Co., Pennsylvania; m. William Patton, 1882.
7. Elizabeth Ann Clark, b. September 23, 1869, Brookfield, Trumbull Co., Ohio; d. March 09, 1948; m. Clyde Coombs, December 1882, Trumbull Co. Ohio.
8. Margaret Jane Clark, b. April 04, 1872, Coalburg, Trumbull Co., Ohio; d. May 04, 1948; m. (1) Charles V. Schell / Shell, July 13, 1889, Mercer, Pennsylvania; m. (2)Edward James, Aft. 1910.
9. Maud Louella Clark, b. June 19, 1876, Brookfield, Trumbull Co., Ohio; m. Frank Chantrey, January 25, 1894, Trumbull Co., Ohio.
