Adam Miller served in the War of 1812 with his son-in-law, Andrew Campbell, and Andrew's brother-in-law, George Fell.

Bounty Land file (warrant 23,384-120-55) states "The records of the Bureau show that on March 13th 1855, Mrs. Catherine Miller testified that Adam Miller, her husband, died at West Salem Township, July 19, 1851, and that under date of March 13th 1855, Andrew Campbell and John Loutzenhiser testified that they knew of the death of Adam Miller and were present at his funeral in 1851.
