Inducted into the US Army at Richmond, VA on Oct. 10, 1941. Served in Co. I, 6th Armored Infantry. Left the USA in May 1942, trained and staged for the North Africa invasion in Northern Ireland at Ardglass and Newcastle, NI. Killed in action Nov. 8, 1942 during the invasion of Oran Harbor, Algeria, North Africa. His body was returned to the USA and buried at St. Mary's Cemetery, Hickory Twp. Mercer Co. PA A son of Dr. and Mrs. Patrick E. Biggins of Sharpsville, PA
