Carl Steven Krvar of Brookfield, formerly of Mercer, passed away at 7:45 p.m. Friday, August 2, 2013 in O'Brien Memorial Health Care Center following a lengthy illness. He was 48.
Mr. Krvar was born May 8, 1965 in Sharon to George Krvar and Jean Lloyd Krvar. He attended Mercer High School and played running back for the Mustangs football team.
After graduating in 1983, he attended American University in Washington, D.C., where he interned as a page for then-Congressman Tom Ridge. He later graduated from Thiel College, Greenville, with a degree in political science and a minor in history.
Mr. Krvar was a member of New Life Baptist Church, Wilmington Township, Lawrence County.
He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and golf fan.
He will always be remembered as a loving brother and doting uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Krvar is survived by three brothers, Terry Parkinson and his wife Dolly, Hermitage; Dennis Parkinson and his wife Phyllis, Brookfield; and Fred Garbler and his wife Kim, Murfreesboro, Tenn., a sister, Karen Schell and her husband Chuck, Clark and many close nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Janice Parkinson; a nephew, Johnny Boshky; and a niece Halei Keck.
