The body of Mrs. Elizabeth Lutton Vath, whose death occurred at the home of her son, H. H. Vath, in Franklin on Thursday morning of last week, was brought here on Sunday and funeral services were held in the MEthodist church at 1:30. Mrs. Vath had been ill only about twenty-four hours with pleurisy and her death has cast a pail of gloom over this community. She had been a resident of Sandy Lake for twenty-five years, moving to Franklin about five years ago to make her home with her son. She as a woman of the highest Christian attainments, beloved by all her acquaintances. She was a daughter of Joseph and Nancy Lutton and was born in January, 1846. Her marriage to Lewis P. Vath occurred in 1863, his death having taken place about 21 years ago. Eight children were born, six of whom are living, as follows: D. C., of Fredonia; Mrs. A. B. Norton, Ellwood City; Mrs. H. S. Davies, Davies, Ala; John L., Sandy Lake; Wilbert J., Sharon, and Harry H., Franklin. One brother, ex Commissioner D. A. Lutton, of Mill Creek township, also is living. Brief funeral services were held at Franklin last Saturday evening and the interment was make in Oak Hill cemetery following the service here Sunday afternoon.

Callahan - Grandparents of Elizabeth Lutton Vath

Elizabeth's parents were Nancy Callahan and Jospeh Lutton. Nancy was the child of Edward Callahan and Jane Thompson.
