Henry Thompson of this place (Harrisville) died suddenly Friday morning (6/7/1901) at New Castle where he had gone to visit his son, Albert P. Thompson. He was in his 77th year and up to the time of his death enjoyed exceedingly good health for one his age. The deceased was a native of Mercer County but for the past thirty years resided in the northern part of the county where he is well and favorably known. He was a consistent member of the Presbyterian Church, having always taken an active part in church work, and for many years was an elder in the Harrisville Presbyterian Church, to which place his remains were taken for interment Monday morning. He is survived by five children- Walter Lowery Thompson of Elwood, Albert Prince Thompson of New Castle, Mrs. George Taylor of Jacksville, Mrs. Rev. N. B. Kelly of Elder's Ridge PA and Mrs. Annie (John H.) Jacobson of Butler.
