Mrs. HILDEBRAND GOP figure dies. Mrs. Minnie Hildebrand, Snyder Nursing Home, widow of Joseph S. Hildebrand, died at 3:30pm saturday in Shenango Valley Osteopathic Hospital, about six hours after being admitted. Mrs Hildebrand, who was 85, had been in failing health for several months. Mrs Hildebrand, prominent among Mercer County's Republican women, was also active in civic organizations. She belonged to the Pennsylvania Council of Republican Women and the Past Presidents Parley of Beaver, Lawrence, and Mercer Counties; was a Gold Star member and a life member of Chapter 156, Order of Eastern Star, and the Order of the White Shrine (8) of Jerusalem and was a past president of Auxiliary to Sharon Post 299, American Legiion. She was a memer of First United Methodist Church of Sharon and the builder's class and women's society. Born in Sharon Nov 8, 1884, she was a daughter of Samuel and Emma ROBINSON DEFLIN. She was a graduate of Sharon High School and of the former Sharon Business College. On Nov 23, 1905, she married Mr Hildebrand, who died in 1955. Surviving are a son, William, Oak Ridge, Tenn; a brother John Deflin, Altoona, PA, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A brother and sister preceded her in death. Oakwood Cemetery.
