DR. MOYER, NOTED PHYSICIAN IS DEAD
The body of Dr. Irwin Justus Moyer of Pittsburgh, chief of staff of Mercy Hospital, who died Sunday, will be brought to Sharpsville Wednesday for burial in the West Side Cemetery.
Dr. Moyer was a cousin of William and Elizabeth Dunham, Mrs. Lulu Lafferty and Thompson Moyer of this place and was a very intimate friend of the late Dr. J. H. Twitmyer.
The following obituary is from the Pittsburgh Press:
Born September 7, 1858, on a farm in Greenville, Pa., son of William and Nancy Moyer and youngest of eight children, Dr. Moyer was educated in Western Reserve University. After his graduation he studied medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He began his practice in Pittsburgh in 1888 and was elected to the staff of the Mercy Hospital in 1892, becoming chief-of-staff in 1911.
He was a member of the faculty of the University of Pittsburgh, a charter member of the Academy of Medicine of Pittsburgh, American Medical Society and the Pennsylvania State Medical Society. He was also a member of the Society of Descendants of the Mayflower and the Sons of the American Revolution, the University Club of Pittsburgh, Tancred Commandery, Knights of Templar, Mystic Shrine and a Thirty-second degree Mason. He was also active in the affairs of the Oakland Episcopal Church of which he was a member.
Dr. Moyer is survived by his wife, Lillian Carter Moyer, and two sons, W. Irwin Moyer, chief geologist of the Philadelphia Company, and Dr. J. Stanford Moyer.

FUNERAL TODAY
The body of Dr. Irwin Justus Moyer of Pittsburgh, chief of staff of Mercy Hospital who died last Sunday arrived in Sharpsville today. It was removed to the West Side Cemetery for burial. The pallbearers were: Drs. P. E. Biggins, Carl Bailey, N. J. Bailey, Frank Bleakney of Grove City and Skyles Moyer. Drs. J. H. Reed and Edith McBride were honorary pallbearers.
