Samuel S. Hannold, age 86, a resident of this city for 20 years, died Christmas morning at 10 o'clock in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Henry Dean, Battles Ave.. Death resulted from compli- cations and the infirmaties of age.
Mr. Hannold was born in Clarion, Pa., Aug. 29, 1849, a son of Isaiah and Julia Watson Hannold, and spent his early life there. He was married to Mary Ellen Watkins and came to Niles 20 years ago, where he lived a retired life. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Surviving are eight daughters; Mrs. Lottie Crow; Mrs. Emma Smith; Mrs. Ellen Herbert; Mrs. Marie Lias, Erie, Pa; Mrs. Lenora Kains, Miss Nancy Hannold, Youngstown, and Mrs. Sadie Dean, Niles, with whom he made his home, three sons; I. J. Hannold, Meadville; W. A. Hannold, Bradford, Pa, and H. M. Hannold, Ranger, Texas. Mrs. Hannold died here 18 years ago. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 at the Dean Residence, 735 Battles Ave., with Rev. Charles F. Murphy, pastor of the Methodist Church in charge, and interment will be made in Oakwood Cemetery, Warren. (Ohio)
