JAMESTOWN: Blaine J. Higgins, 67, died unexpectedly on Thursday (10/05/1972) at Greenville Hospital. Higgins was born at Cranesville on June 9, 1905, son of Jasper and Maude Bates Higgins. He moved to the Jamestown area in 1928. In 1931 he married the former Edith HALL, who died in 1958. He was a retired farmer and member of the Friendship Grange- Greene Twp and the Jamestown Volunteer Fire Dept. He is survived by 3 stepdaughters: Maxine (Mrs. Leo Kidwell) - Jamestown; Mrs. Genevieve Luckhardt - Greenville; and Mrs. Eileen Whitemore - Jamestown; 3 sisters: Miss Charlotte Higgins - Lake City; Mrs Dorothy Laase - Erie; and Mrs. Arlene Rinehart - Springboro; a brother, Ellis Higgins -Jamestown; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Saturday at Baumgardner Funeral Home - Kinsman. Intermen will be at State Line Cemetery.
