In the 1870 US census my ancestor Thomas Kane is found in Lackawannock Twp. listed as CANEE or (Canu); Thomas 32; Catherine 30;John 8 (MA); Patsy 5 (PA);Mary 3 (PA); Winnie 1 (PA);Gahen William 24 (Ire).
Their daughter Winifred KEAN was baptized at then All Saints Church, Mercer on 28 Mar 1869. I have not been able to get any info on Mary's (1867) baptism. Parents as listed as Thomas KEAN & Catherine GARAN (Gavin)
In 1880 census a Patrick Kane is listed with the BROWN (?) family; John 35; Catherin 75; Kane Patrick 16, servant; farmer. Patrick ends up in Centralia, Columbia Co married to Sarah Grady; his dod is 3 Sep 1916.
I have not found the Thomas Kane family in the PA 1880 census.
